Our Story

Kester Jewelry, has been located in Downtown Craig, Colorado since 1946. Cliff Kester opened Kester Jewelry in 1946, located at 571 Yampa. In 1950, Myron Tyser, with his wife Mary Ann, moved to Craig from Nebraska, to work as a watchmaker at Kester Jewelry. The store moved across the street in 1966 to its current location at 530 Yampa Ave. Rich began working in the store with his dad and Mr. Kester in 1969. Myron purchased the store in 1974 and ran it with his wife Mary Ann and son, Rich. Rich purchased Kester Jewelry in 1994, where he still works, with his wife Kathy, fixing clocks, jewelry and selling fine jewelry.
